Introduced in 1966, the Lamborghini Miura is widely regarded as one of the defining cars in the history of the modern supercar. It was Lamborghini's first mid-engine production model, with its 3.9-litre V12 mounted transversely behind the driver and ahead of the rear axle.

The Miura's body was designed by Carrozzeria Bertone, with Marcello Gandini responsible for the styling. Its exceptionally low proportions, sweeping curves, distinctive rear engine cover and characteristic “eyelash” detailing around the headlights created a design that remains instantly recognisable more than 60 years after its debut.

The original P400 produced 350 hp, while the later P400 S and P400 SV increased output to 370 hp and 385 hp respectively. Production ran from 1966 to 1973, with 763 Miuras built according to Lamborghini's official records.

The Miura's combination of mid-engine engineering, exceptional performance and radical styling established it as one of the most influential cars of the 1960s and a defining icon of Italian automotive design.
